Seasoned with Salt
This week my
friend Doug Monk contributes a brief piece concerning a topic which has
been on his heart.
The Lone Ranger Super
Christian
Howdy, Pardner! I am the Lone Ranger Super Christian. Note that I am
far
too humble to describe myself in this way, but my actions say what I am
unwilling to vocalize. My job is to fight evil, be tough, and wear a mask.
Never do I let others see when I am struggling.
I ride alone. I am not firmly plugged into any one local church. Rather,
since I've yet to find one that is really solid, I am free to come and go
like the wind. I know the Bible inside and out. When I visit your group,
it
is on my terms or not at all. Accountability is not in my vocabulary. I do
love to minister to others, but only if I "feel led."
When one of the churches with which I am loosely connected sponsors an
event, I may or may not be there. It's hard to know when a super hero
might
show up, you know. When I am in your assembly, I have a strong need
to take
center stage.
I will be praying for you. God bless.
Up, up, and away!
The Lone
Ranger
